 URBAN INNOVATION IDEAS COMPETITION

The ULI Urban Innovation Ideas Competition seeks to promote innovative ideas, collaboration, and leadership among young professionals in the property industry. The competition explores creative and practical solutions to a project relevant to the urbanization of our city.

ULI Young Leaders Group (YLG) Hong Kong is proud to have launched its first ever real estate development case competition for young professionals. This competition seek innovative design and business proposals that generated fresh ideas for the sites in the Star Street neighborhood.

The spirit of the competition is collaboration, and it adopts an interdisciplinary approach. We seek proposals that include design, business, and financial aspects. We welcome young professionals from all real estate-related industries to form teams of two to four people and propose innovative ideas!

The competition ran from late September 2017 to early December 2017 in two stages—a preliminary round and a final round. Finalists chosen for Stage 2 will be receiving mentoring from senior industry leaders. The winning team received a cash prize and a chance to present its proposal at the 2018 ULI Asia Pacific Summit in Hong Kong in June.

Pictures from the Awards Ceremony held on 22 Jan 2018 at Classifed on Wing Fung Street, the project site of the competition, can be accessed on our Facebook. Thank you for all who attended!

Following the celebration, we were also excited to announce the results of the competition to the press! The official press release from the competition and the event are linked below.
